角秀北極殿

The Jiaoxiu Arctic Palace is located beside the 114th County Road, Linan Town, Second Town, Guantian District, Tainan City, and worships Xuantian God. In addition, the temple and the Wushantou Prince Temple, Dutou Arctic Hall, Zhouzi Arctic Hall, and Xinzhongfu Tiangong jointly take turns to worship a King of Galan, "Wangzhuang King", also known as "Lao Prince". The gods to be worshipped are Goddess of Mercy, Gods of the Arctic Xuantian, Gods of the Two Kings of Galan, Empress Dowager, God of Fortune, Marshal Kang, Marshal Zhao, Marshal Wu, etc. According to rumors, there were five brothers with the surname Hu who took a boat from Fujian to Taiwan. After being instructed, they brought King Galan (Princess Wuzhuang) incense to Taiwan. Unexpectedly, the big wind and waves on the way caused the ship to be hit hard. The brothers with the surname Hu prayed for the protection of the old prince, and said that if they can survive the robbery safely, they will thank the sculpture in gold. Finally, he arrived safely at Guantiandutou Village in Tainan. Later, because the old prince was very effective in the place, the settlements where the five brothers lived also regarded the old prince as the patron saint of the place. So it has evolved into the common belief of the five Zhuangtou, and now every year from the 20th to the 25th of the first lunar month will be held peacefully.
