德國籍的路加修士於1957年遠渡重洋來到台灣，將一生奉獻在這片土地。仙草埔天主堂便是由路加修士督工興建，他也在此創作馬賽克聖像及鑲嵌彩繪玻璃。
2007年路加修士回歸天家後，仙草埔天主堂轉型為靜居、默觀的「樂根園-方濟靈修中心」，樂根是取自路加修士的名，以紀念他所打造的福傳基地。

The German Luke monk traveled across the ocean to Taiwan in 1957 and dedicated his life to this land. The Church of the Immortals in Xiancaopu was built by Luke’s monk, who also created mosaic icons and mosaic glass.
After the return of the monks of Luke to Tianjia in 2007, the Tianzhutang of Xiancaopu was transformed into a "Legen Garden-Fangji Lingxiu Center", which was quiet and tacit. Legan was taken from the name of Luke to commemorate the evangelization he built. base.
