According to the history of the temple, Bixuan Temple's Kaiji Guanyin Buddha (now commonly known as Zheng Er Ma) was consecrated at Kaiyuan Temple in Quanzhou, mainland China (1590 AD) until about 418 years ago. His Guanyin Buddha was invited by Zen Master Ying Xiang to cross the sea with Qing soldiers to Taiwan ( In 1657), after a short break at the Jingfanshe (now Dongshan), Lu Jingfanshe (now Dongshan) walked east to a large wooden temple at the foot of the volcano (Old Rock Daxian Temple) and stayed for more than four years. Later, due to human factors, he left the old rock and went to the treasure place of feng shui with half-wall chandeliers, where he built the temple Chuangxinyan (the predecessor of Biyun Temple).
