Dongshan District Farmers Association Japanese Rice Mill: The historical building, built in 1934, has increased rice production due to Penglaimi, Jianan Dazhen, Wushantou Reservoir, etc. Due to the different quality of soil hulls, local peasant associations were born, but it also led to the decline of traditional soil hulls. The Dongshan District Farmers Association was formerly known as the Fanshezhuang Agricultural Association. The rice mill was renovated in 2016. It is a three-story wooden building with fir as the building material. The open space in front is a distribution center for transporting grains. The roof is a Japanese-style roof with ventilation holes above. There are three small warehouses inside. There are ruler carvings on the compartments, which are used to judge the storage capacity. There are rare wooden rice milling equipment and rice milling processes, and the building is well preserved. Now there are open tours, there are enough parking spaces nearby, and there is also Dongshan Coffee Culture Center, which can be visited with Dongshan Old Street

The Japanese-style rice mill was built in the ninth year of the Showa era (1934), and was declared a historic building by the Tainan County Government on September 5, 1994 (2005). The wood in the house has a strong smell, and the machinery and equipment of the rice mill are kept indoors, which is worth visiting and nostalgic.
