Yi Shan Tang worships Yi Shan Gu, enshrining gods such as Fu De Zheng Shen and injecting a maiden. According to legend, at the beginning of the Japanese rule, because the Japanese army did not observe military discipline, they oppressed the people everywhere, so Yi Shangu got up to resist the Japanese, but planned to sneak attack at night. Later, local residents built temples to commemorate this heroine who defended the villagers, and now they have become an important local faith center. The current temple was completed in the 63rd year of the Republic of China (1974).

The anti-Japanese female heroine was unfamiliar with the Japanese army oppressing the people and killing innocent people. So she sneaked into the barracks alone and attacked the Japanese army at night. Unfortunately, she was discovered by the Japanese army and shot to death. The body was also shown to the public. The body of Yishan aunt was taken back, and after the Japanese army left, the body of the aunt was taken down and buried on the spot in Jianshanpi Reservoir, and a small temple was built for worship. In the fifteenth year of the Japanese occupation of Taisho (1926), due to the demand of the Salt Water Sugar Co., Ltd. Xinying Sugar Co., Ltd. (today's Xinying Sugar Factory), he wanted to build the Jianshanpi Reservoir. The small temple was demolished. Unexpectedly, the machine tool suddenly failed to start, or other accidents occurred, resulting in the project not being able to proceed smoothly. Knowing that Nai Shan Gu was a saint, the local people suggested to the Japanese leader to ask Shan Gu and promised to move the temple in the future. The group leader heard that he did not believe it. However, accidents happened frequently and the project was unable to proceed. He had to obey and vowed to rebuild a new temple in the future, so that the project could proceed smoothly. In 1937 (AD 1937), the temple was rebuilt at the present site.
