Laiqihou Fortress is an easily overlooked spot, and the mottled traces tell history

The entrance of the historic site fort at the commanding heights of Qijin is very lingering with ancient feelings. The Qihou Fort is condescending and guards the coast. Megatron South is the original entrance to the defensive barracks area. It overlooks the city of Qijin. The four characters for Megatron South are currently only "Tiannan"; on both sides of the horizontal frame, there are "Tiannan". The word "囍" may mean happy if there is no war, and happy after war! The heavy fort gate is made of iron sheet and wooden bottom, and pieces of iron sheet are embedded in the thick wooden door to prevent the attack of the city. It is gratitude for the hardship of the ancestors to guard the territory. When you come to Qijin, you must go to the fort, and don’t miss Megatron South.

Located at the back door of the Qihou Fort, the other side of the red wooden door is Megatron South, which echoes the north gate of Xiongzhen. The word Megatron has disappeared. Different styles of 囍 on both sides are very rare in Qing architecture.

Due to the location edge and the lack of obvious guidance facilities, it is easy to miss a historical attraction if you did not walk through the entire flag rear fort area or if you saw the "Megatron South" landmark existed from the map in advance. Megatron Tiannan is actually the gate of the Qihou Fort. It was destroyed by Japanese naval guns during the Battle of Yiwei in 1895. The word "Tiannan" can only be distinguished from old photos. Later, when the relevant units were performing restoration, they copied the two characters Tiannan with reference to the old photos and reproduced the word "Miracle" as a virtual character. After carefully reading the historical evolution on the commentary card, it was really shocking to imagine the situation back then. Although the edge of this place is remote and the space is not large (the area around the door is already overgrown with weeds and the view is not good), it still makes people unable to stay here for a while.
