★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coffee is fine but the tables, chairs in outdoor area were unclean. Maybe the timing was not good ( Chinese New Year) so the service was not that good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ hands down the best craft cafe in the area. definitely my favourite one in kaoshiung. they also have a decent selection of cakes and pastries. staff is great. friendly and knowledgeable. they also speak english, or at least try to communicate with you -- is a welcome gesture in this part of town.
the fine arts museum and childrems museum is also a quick walk away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved my visit to Stains. Great coffee, atmosphere and fabulous staff who seemed to take their role as baristers seriously. Very professional. The food that others ate looked delicious too. And the special way they brewed a coffee was particularly interesting to watch but I don't know what that coffee was called.
