★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 旗津老街上信仰中心為天后宮，天后宮旁有座「開基明心社修善堂」，廟前拜亭上懸「文武聖廟」；另一「修善堂」位於旗津吉祥巷68號。據堂前「旗津開基明心社修善堂由來」石碑說明，明心社修善堂源於清光緒癸卯年(光緒卅年，日治明治卅七年，西元1904年)，地方人士受聖神指示，往東石郡朴子鎮迎請文衡聖帝令牌供奉，並在鳳山五塊厝文衡聖帝首肯下暫借文衡聖帝廟設壇，翌年(西元1905年)受聖帝及保生大帝指示，賜社名「明心」、堂號「修善」，同年再遷堂回旗津，暫以天后宮為堂址。
民國五○年(西元1961年)在廟前路85號重建新堂，民國五十二年(西元1963年)奠基安座。
The faith center on Qijin Old Street is Tianhou Temple. Next to Tianhou Temple, there is a "Kaijimingxinshe Xiushantang", and the "Wenwu Temple" hangs above the worship pavilion in front of the temple. Another "Xiushantang" is located at No. 68 Jixiang Lane, Qijin. According to the "Origin of Qijin Kaiji Mingxinshe Xiushantang" in front of the church, Mingxinshe Xiushantang originated in the Guangxu Guimao year of the Qing Dynasty (Guangxu 30 years, Japanese rule and Meiji 37 years, AD 1904). Instructed, go to Puzi Town, Dongshi County to welcome the token of the Emperor Wenheng, and temporarily borrow the temple of the Emperor Wenheng to set up an altar under the permission of the Emperor Wenheng in the five houses of Fengshan. In the following year (1905), he was instructed by the Emperor and the Emperor Baosheng , Gave the name "Ming Xin" and the name "Xiu Shan", and moved back to Qijin in the same year, temporarily using Tianhou Temple as the address.
In the 50th year of the Republic of China (1961), the new hall was rebuilt at No. 85 Miaoqian Road, and the foundation was laid in the second year of the Republic of China (1963).
