★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 從旗津星光隧道出口看過去，就是一條長長的海堤，因為常有瘋狗浪越過堤面、加上救災車輛無法抵達的關係，這裡是禁止進入觀景、釣魚、游泳的，入口處也設置了長長的圍欄（不過還是會有人冒險翻進去...）。
那又為什麼叫海馬堤防？前往旗後砲台，答案直接呈現在眼前。由旗後炮台往下俯瞰海馬堤防，瞬間恍然大悟，而這也才是海馬堤防最美麗、最經典的模樣。比起冒著生命危險翻越長欄還看不出個所以然（重點是這個行為也很白目），強力推薦往上至旗後砲台一遊。這裡的海馬堤防，才是他真正的完全體！
