Formerly known as "Changchun Love Charity Club", it was established by a group of "China Telecom" (formerly Telecommunications Bureau) employees on February 17, 1975. On February 20, 1983, after applying to the Kaohsiung Municipal Government Social Bureau for approval, the case was renamed as "Kaohsiung Changchun Charity Charity Association". Since then, it has become a loving member of the association and has gradually expanded to all levels of society. After the decision of the second member conference of the fourth session of the association, the name was changed to "Kaohsiung Changchun Senior Care Service Association". In the early days of the establishment of the Association, the focus was on emergency assistance and provided various services such as school aid and support for children in cold weather. In 1984, the National Health Insurance was launched, and the number of urgent cases dropped sharply. In order to meet the needs of the society, this Council decided to transform into a public service and charity with professional services, and specifically selected the disadvantaged-"elderly people" as the main service target of the Association. Therefore, since the Chung Yeung Festival that year, telephone services for elderly people living alone, home care, accompanying medical treatment, emergency resettlement, financial assistance, housework services, welfare consultation, funeral assistance, subsidy for the elderly to see maintenance costs, etc. have been implemented to implement the welfare of the elderly Permanent professionalism for service focus. As Taiwan's population has advanced, the issue of elderly care has become increasingly important. In 1987, the Social Affairs Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government combined the 17 charitable charities in Kaohsiung City to set up the "Changqing Community Care Service Team" to strengthen the tracking and care services for the elderly in this city. This association is one of the co-organizers. In the area under its responsibility—Sanmin West District (west of Minzu Yilu) in Kaohsiung City, it conducts investigations and follow-up care for the single-dwelling households within its jurisdiction, and provides long-term phone calls, home care, and other items. service. The total number of miles in the jurisdiction of the Association is 42 miles, and the total number of cases opened over the years is 213. The number of cases summarized over the years is 100. Since January 1996, it has also undertaken the elderly protection services for Sanmin West District (west of Minzu Road) in Kaohsiung so far.
