The "Zhongdu Theatre", completed in 1966, was also designed by Xiao Fozhu. The first floor is a traditional market (that is, the Zhongdu Market). This kind of theater and market are co-constructed, and the expectation to drive local prosperity is Xiao Fuzhu's consistent philosophy since he started the construction industry. The "Zhongdu" area name is derived from the "Zhongdu Theater", which is close to the east bank of the Love River, and is probably the area surrounded by Jianguo Road and Zhonghua Road. In 1899, Japan's "Tojima Brickmaking Plant" (now the predecessor of "Zhongdu Brick Kiln Factory") set up factories here in favor of the geology and geographical conditions of the area. Later, there were successively industrial factories such as alcohol, lime, and cans. This area gradually formed a settlement area for brick kilns and related factory workers, and the urban development axis also moved from the "three blocks" to this. After the war, the co-construction of the theaters and markets in the capital was once again driving the prosperity of the region.

Historical attraction In fact, it didn't take long. It was completed in 1966. The market on the first floor was opened in 1986, and the theater on the second floor was closed. Some people hope to reproduce the beauty of the theater that year. Some people think that the building is not safe and needs to be removed. Because of this, it is currently on the side, becoming the first floor market, the ruins of the second floor Although this is the case, there is no way to see the grand occasion of the year. But the current ruins are also different. You can also see someone on the Internet. When I saw this ruin, I thought I would enter the wasteland of the rest of the dust! From the Zhongdu Road, you can see the market entrance, cross the market, the stairs on the left, be careful when you go, he is unfinished place, everywhere is dangerous

A theater-style cinema that has been abandoned for more than 30 years and has a seating area on the second floor.

It is a great historical site, confirming the glory of the Zhongdu area, but the ceiling is broken and the ground is full of remnants. Visitors must be careful and avoid going in bad weather conditions.

It has become a sacred place of net beauty, and there are not many traces left. But the market and theater co-construction are special.

The name of this area in Zhongdu is derived from the opening of the Zhongdu Theatre and Zhongdu Street. Due to the manpower required by the brick kiln in the Japanese occupation period, the immigration has gradually made the area flourish. The construction of the theater is centered on Zhongdu Street. The fast-growing theaters in the region have driven consumption. Many snack bars have opened. Today, there are still many delicious old-fashioned snack bars in Zhongdu Street. The Zhongdu Theater not only makes the Zhongdu area more prosperous, but also has historical value and time characteristics. The first floor of a market and theater is the second floor of the vegetable market. The theater is a modernist style. This old theater was designed by Xiaohuzhu, the architect of Wuhu County. During the Japanese occupation, he participated in the construction of Kaohsiung City and actively assisted the reconstruction of Kaohsiung City. Since the cessation of business in 1986, the Zhongdu Theatre has been in a state of ruin. The only vendors in the first-floor vegetable market are still lingering. The owners hope to demolish the building several times. Because of the property rights dispute with the first-floor vegetable market, it was too late to start construction. Three years ago, a heavy rain caused the market to collapse through the media. The relevant topics of the Chinese theater are once again mentioned that the Zhongdu Theatre should be demolished? Perhaps we should rethink today when cultural assets are getting more and more attention. At present, the old theaters in Kaohsiung have become less and less. It is also precious to Zhongdu Cinema. Not only does it have a rich history, but its architecture also reflects the significance of the times. If we look at the Zhongdu Theatre from a more macroscopic perspective, it is an important testimony to this settlement and regional development. It is as valuable as the brick kiln. Cultural assets expect that the theater can activate and reuse the entrepreneurial entrepreneurs to enter the stage or the art group and other performance stages. More importantly, if you can combine the food and snacks of Zhongdu Street, the historical and cultural heritage of the brick and kiln factory, and the new wetland. The park may make this area of Zhongdu prosper again and create a new tourist attraction for Kaohsiung. I believe that doing this is better than continuing to be ruined!

The ruins of the theater in tears of the times. Unexpectedly, near the city center of Kaohsiung, there will be such a large abandoned building to explore, just to catch up with the style of ruin photography in recent years. The stairs upstairs have left and right sides. Only one side can go up, but it is not easy to walk. Be careful. After entering, it is not very dangerous. The floor and walls are still solid. Just be careful not to step on the screw debris on the ground. . Judging from the huge camp screen, the two-story viewing area and the snack bar that sells drinks, it is not difficult to imagine the loud voices of the past
