Delicious wonton soups for $70 NTD.

My favorite dumpling soup, simple, smoth, tasty dumpling dip with hot chilli sauce.

Pretty delicious, highly recommended! We ordered rice ball/wonton soup with egg. The signature wonton tastes fresh, the rice ball is chewy, the boiled egg is also attractive. The vibe and staffs make us feel comfortable and friendly. Will come next time!

菜市仔嬤 / cai shi zi ma / Grandma Kuo is a simple wonton restaurant that is recommended by our local guide in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. We dine in on the table directly in front of the kitchen, so that, we could smell the fresh and savory fragrant from the wonton and the broth. The service here (I think it's a mom and son) is good and friendly. Here are what we tried : 餛飩小 / hun dun xiao (NT$ 55) It's a bowl consisting of 12 wonton filled with pork, served on a clear soup with vegetables and spring onions. 鹹湯圓小 / xian tang yuan xiao (NT$ 60) This one is so unique and our first time trying dumpling made of glutinous rice flour filled with pork similar with wonton filling. Usually we eat glutinous rice flour that is filled with peanut as a Chinese tradition every December 22. We tried the small bowl that consists of four chewy dumpling. Same as wonton, it also served with clear soup, vegetables, and spring onions. 富貴麵 / fu gui mian (NT$ 40) Last but not the least, don't forget to serve the wonton and dumpling together with noodle. This is my kind of noodle which has thick and chewy texture, cooked with pork oil, and served with spring onions.
