★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow. Jiao dz done well is a culinary treat, and this place doesn't disappoint. The dumplings are extremely well balanced in terms of skin and filling. And the waisheng family who run this restaurant really know what they are doing. Often full, and well worth the queue. Very reasonably priced too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can only speak for the dumplings and the soup, both of which were excellent. Also check out the surrounding Guomao district, which grew out of the old military housing. Besides cool architecture it also offers nice drinks, a flea market (a pretty shabby one though), and a food and veggie market.
