Kaohsiung City's top ten historical projects. The Okayama Water Tower was set up in 1925 during Taiwan’s Japanese Occupation. The Okayama Water Purification Plant was declared permanently out of service on May 25, 1992. The internal facilities were demolished or rebuilt, and the Okayama Water Tower has been idle since then. The water tower is a reinforced concrete building with a height of about 30.9 meters, an inner diameter of 5.4 meters, a water depth of 3 meters, a full water level of 25.4 meters, and an effective capacity of 113 cubic meters. The water tank is equipped with a water level gauge. The pump room at the bottom is equipped with two 15-horsepower motors, and the top is equipped with a lightning rod. Although the iron pipe stairs attached to it are rusted off, the main building remains intact.

It has stood here since the beginning of memory. It was once the highest landmark in Okayama. Fenghua retreated and still guarded the future of all Okayama people silently.
