The special landscape of Tianliao "Moon World" is called "bad land" geographically. It is due to the "rejuvenation" of the earth's crust. After years of intense erosion by rain and river water, sediments are deposited on the mudstone. After the formation changes, the mud Sand and mudstone are mixed and then weathered and deposited to form today's landform, which is only suitable for the growth of drought-tolerant and salt-tolerant shallow-rooted plants (such as arrow bamboo) and coastal plants. In addition to the lunar world landscape along the 28th line from Tianliao to Qishantai, there are more than 20 mud volcanoes of varying sizes, often showing intermittent eruptions. The scale of the eruption depends on the cumulative pressure of underground natural gas and mud. After the eruption, the mud flow accumulation area has been eroded by rainfall, resulting in some special small terrains. Among them, the large and small boiling water are the most convenient places to observe the mud volcanoes. Mud volcanoes are "pseudo volcanoes" where natural gas and mud in the ground are exposed to high pressure and spew out along the cracks in shallow rock masses. It is also a type of bad terrain. Tianliao is the most developed region of Taiwan's bad terrain and mud volcanoes. The badland landscape composed of mudstone in the ancient pavilion is full of desolate and deserted beauty. It is like a geological and ecological classroom without artificial chiseling, and it has developed unique products and gourmet food.

The trail is well maintained, but there are still some places under maintenance when you come here. 111.2.26, you can just circle around the O line and enjoy this special geological landscape at close range.

There is a parking lot, 7-11, and toilets, so it's very convenient. However, there are more mosquitoes in the evening, so it is recommended to spray mosquito repellent. Part of the landscape park is still under renovation.

With the lighting at night, it is very beautiful to take pictures. It is best to prepare a tripod. If you want to take portraits, you can also use some skills. Prepare a camera with manual function and flash, and shoot night scenes with the same long exposure time, but use flash to make up for it. The front portrait alone!!
