★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 筆秀原為「畢宿」，是明永曆十五年（1661）鄭成功來台所設的「二十八宿營」之一，而天后宮據《鳳山縣采訪冊》記載，係同治八年 (1869) 許天文等募建。但在光緒二十四年(1898)，卻遭日軍以搜捕抗日志士之名，屠村清庄，天后宮亦遭焚毀，至民國二十四年(1935) ，才由信徒發起重建。
The pen show was originally "Bi Su", which was one of the "Eighteen Camps" set up by Zheng Chenggong to come to Taiwan in the 15th year of the Ming Yongli (1661). And so on. However, in the twenty-four years of Guangxu (1898), the Japanese army searched the anti-loggers, slaughtered the village, and the Houhou Temple was burned down. It was not until the twenty-fourth year of the Republic of China (1935) that the believers initiated the reconstruction.
