Fengshan New City was built in AD 1788, that is, in the 53rd year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. Until 1804 (the 9th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty), six city gates were established. This Dongbian Gate is the Xiaodongmen. The inscription on the forehead of the inner door is "Dongbianmen", and the inscription on the forehead of the outer door is "Tongyimen".
