★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1955年高雄市地圖，明顯可見大埤(澄清湖)，其下方的小貝湖，以及更下方的園藝試驗所內的湖泊。小貝湖大致上位於目前(2022年)的大埤路、公園路之間，亦即目前棒球場、勞工局勞動檢查處、勞工公園、長庚醫院的範圍，大部分均已被填土利用。比對古今地圖，可以發現小貝湖的遺跡，尚餘四處，由西而東：1. 鳥松濕地； 2. 長庚醫院後門，公園路正下方；3. 忠烈祠南方，204憲兵指揮部東北方； 4. 棒球場北方，公園路西側的低地稻田(或其他作物)。
A map of Kaohsiung City in 1955, with Dapi (Chencheng Lake) clearly visible, Xiaobei Lake below it, and the lake in the Horticultural Experiment Center further below. Xiaobei Lake is roughly located between the current (2022) Dapi Road and Park Road, that is, the current baseball stadium, labor inspection office of the Labor Bureau, Labor Park, and Chang Gung Hospital, most of which have been filled and utilized. Comparing the ancient and modern maps, we can find the remains of Xiaobei Lake, there are still four places left, from west to east: 1. Niaosong Wetland; 2. The back door of Chang Gung Hospital, just below Park Road; 3. South of Martyrs' Shrine, northeast of 204 Military Police Headquarters 4. Lowland rice fields (or other crops) north of the baseball field, west of Park Road.
