85 Sky-tower CTtraveller Suit

Place is big. But suit is not that good specifically from facilities point of view. TV was not working and they don't even have 3 plug socket to use systems like notebook and felt so irritated in the beginning when I came to know about it. Bathroom is small where I stayed and it's actually very small. For a person like me who is 6'2", you can't stand and take shower properly. But view is beautiful. You can see whole city. Bay area. Everything from top. From money point of view, little expensive so I would suggest to try motel here for facilities but maybe won't get such view from your room. So it depends on your priorities what you like the most.

The building was designed by C.Y Lee which has an unusual 'prong' design with two separate 39-floor sections, which merge into a single central tower rising to a spire. This unique design leaves a substantial space below the central part of the tower which was inspired by the first character of the city's name (高). Most observation windows in the building offers views over the Kaohsiung City, the Love River and the Kaohsiung Harbour.

This building truly is spectacular. However, the experience of staying over was a different story ? I stayed on the 31st floor. The room had a spectacular view of the Harbour ? The bed was one mattress put upon another mattress. The room had an unpleasant smell. I would also add that the cost per night to stay at this hotel ? was quite expensive ?

This accommodation is not so bad and also super convenient spot which is located in city center near subway. Actually, this building is called 85 sky tower contains variety of lodgings and we stayed one of them called "happy avenue". All of facilities are pretty fine but the cleanness is needed to improve. BTW the price is so reasonable in these high value place; besides, self-service check in is so easy to do.

Impressive views over the city. For an observation deck, it would have been nice to have outside space. Windows bit dirty for taking proper photos. We'll worth the visit though when visiting the town as it gives you a good overview of the city.

This is an 85 level sky tower with a viewing deck on the 74th Floor. It is also a hotel and has a few shops, a bar and a restaurant. We stayed here and the room had an amazing view of the harbour (or city if you choose that option). Our room was on level 55. The room was spacious with a big marble bathroom all the necessary amenities. We made use of the gym and pool as well. You need a cap to use the pool Staff weren’t overly friendly, at check in they were efficient and ‘routine’. The staff helping to get cabs were the best. We appreciate our late check out of 1pm. The area is a short walk to the light rail which gets you to pier 2 easily. Walking distance to a station as well.

Kaohsiung need to bring this building/prime spot back to life. this should be the Taipei 101 of Kaohsiung but in stead they are left ting this place slow rot! really sad. it’s very much a ghost town in that area.. the hotel is still renting out rooms and also selling their room if interested. in some way it’s pretty cool to say my house is in the 85flr building.. an iconic building in Kaohsiung!

I’ve stayed a month here on the 26th floor. Had an option of stay on 36th but felt sick just by thinking of it ? The view is amazing probably the best factor of this building. This building is mean to be high so no outdoor area except ground floor. This also is bad for smoker and lots of smokers just smoke in the room even it’s not allowed. Seems like they don’t enforce the non smoking. Corridors stink of smoke it feels like I was in a ktv building. I was staying in the lodging rooms which are run by outside agencies (there is a lot of them here). The actual sky tower hotel (the OG / fancier one) it’s closed atm, not sure if it’s temp or permanently closed. The interior design of the rooms very old feels like the same age of the building lol. But for the price I’m paying for the whole month 13k it’s very cheap / affordable, so the negative factors don’t mind me. Since it’s so high it’s and I need to change 2 elevators each time it’s kinda annoying but all good. It’s location it’s great. There is like 3 breakfast food trucks every morning outside the main entrance, that’s very convenient for me to grab a coffee some breaky and go for a bike ride to explore. 3-4 night markets in the 15 min cycling range. Very good ! The rooms are very spacious however wish there was things like microwave and etc. the toilet is fine, the only negative factor is the fact that the water goes cold in like 7 minutes after opening. It’s like a waster wastage control. Kinda sucks for this kind of building to have that. I need to stop the water while I shower if not I end up with cold water before I finish.
