A lot of people like housewives will come here everyday for the fresh and cheap veggies, fish, meat or snacks. So here combines many factors of the downtown, such as clinics, dry goods or hardware stores, also close to the bus stop. You can buy everything you can image and you need in this market! Beizhen Market for local people, just like Queen Victoria Market for Melbourne. But I must say Baizhen is messy about vehicle parking, and few public litter bins, so you might feel there is a little disorder. In short, this is definitely old school traditional market in Taiwan, you shall have look the real and uncovered Taiwanese style.

If you want to have good local food , definitely need to visit this local market . But the local food price here is not cheap compared to the street food price in south Taiwan . Probably because they need to import most of the ingredients from Taiwan .

From what I was told this is the largest market in Penghu. The sell fresh seafood as well as household items and clothes. Good place just to walk around and shop and try some food.
