I started to be a vegetarian about five years ago. After eating Chef Ann’s craftsmanship, it has subverted my impression of vegetarian cuisine. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Googled ‘vegan restaurant near me’ and An An popped up. It’s actually a (religious) vegetarian restaurant, not vegan, so no allium (garlic, onions, etc.) and dairy is used. Nonetheless, everything is clearly Indicated on the menu and there are many vegan options. They also said that they will be adding the option of vegan cheese soon! I had the red sauce spaghetti, which was delicious and had that wonderful wok hei (鑊氣) taste. I’m very much looking forward to trying their pizza once they begin offering vegan cheese. Service was friendly and professional and the staff kindly introduced the vegan options to me.
