屏東縣獅子鄉內文村,彷彿人間仙境般,不僅溪古有蝦類、貝類、鱸鰻等生物,溪谷四處還可見蜻蜓翩翩飛舞,兩旁林立的野薑花,更將溪水增添一谷甜香氣味。內文教會牧師蕭世光自信地說:「我最大的夢想,就是將教會打造成觀光景點,讓更多人看見內文的美。」 生態豐富、景緻宜人的內文村,將近99%的村民信主;此外,內文教會週一到週日幾乎活動滿檔,不管是青少年聚會、婦女團契練歌、老人日間關懷站開課、社區大掃除等,「教會生活和部落生態幾乎完全合一」。而當部落面對青年流失的困境時,族人們大大小小並肩作戰,透過用心地守護,一步一步將青年找回家。(內文取自於台灣公報社) 部落宣教史 一、開拓時期(1956 至1957 年五月) 主後1956 年當時南部排灣族的第一位宣道師,鍾正來牧師及鄰鄉的東源村之信徒,經常往返至本村落傳道、開拓宣教。在大家熱心努力及 聖靈的動工下,內文逐漸開始有村民信主。約主後1956 年郭新吉長老為本村第一位接受福音的種子,因著他的信主,逐漸開始了向其家人和村民傳福音。 二、教會之設立與發展(1956 年3 月5 日) 內文教會設立至今逾有63 年之歷史,而教會最初的創設是早在1956 年3 月5 日所創設 的。經過一年的努力的開拓宣教,於是在1957 年5 月5 日開始了定期性之聚會禮拜。1958 年,由於教勢之增長,信徒人數不斷增長,於是就在同年12 月時,信徒合力以木質材料建造本會 首座木屋禮拜堂。1964 年教堂改建為紅磚牆 鐵皮屋頂,又在1986 年教會再度重建為鋼筋水泥建材之二層禮拜堂。並於1991 年11 月25 日慶祝教會設教35 週年暨獻堂感恩禮拜。 內文教會設立在一個偏遠的原住民小村落,在歷任牧者及同工全力開拓宣教下,教會在量 與質均有逐年增長之趨勢,於是教會在考量需要上於1993 年6 月30 日膺聘白德明牧師為教 會首任牧師。在教會兒少事工需要上,教會長執向中會提出教會需要,於2000 年8 月6 日蕭世光傳道師授派於本教會擔任傳道師;於2002 年4 月28 日教會 向中會申請聘傳道師邱秀妹為本教會第一任教育傳道師;2003 年11 月29 日封立蕭世光傳道師為牧師並聘為本教會第二任牧師。  未來展望 本教會的願景:「全村歸主‧營造上帝的部落」 對內:靈命更新,推動讀經/禱告運動、教牧造就/發展 小組聚會/學習委身及有整全的屬靈生命。 對外:參與關心社區活動、參與及關心鄉裏各項活、推動生態保育工作、整合資源推動各項社會福利、辦理文化教育、傳統領域的收復及文化保存。 (內文取自排灣中會55年年鑑)
