Tribal Mission History Xuhai Church established a teaching in the village in April 1962. Most of the residents of Xuhai Village are from Hengchun Ami Group, but does not understand Ami (the lingua franca is Taiwanese). However, some Paiwan people initially had a peony believer Ms. Liao Ruiyue (Selep) preaching among the residents of the Paiwan ethnic group. Yuan, Mudan, and Donghai churches came to preach and gradually there were believers. In April 1962, I began to use believers' homes to start regular gatherings. At that time, the church worshiped an average of 15-20 people. Until 1966 Built a church in the year and built the church with rudimentary iron sheet materials. In February 1977, the land owner requested the land to be reclaimed and bought the site. 1985 The church began to plan to build a church in 2016. At that time, the preacher was the preacher Sun Zigui. The church fund was only 20,000 yuan left at that time, so I should buy the materials. Is not enough, not to mention that the financial capacity will be very limited, but God’s wonderful leadership has given the church different channels through Methods such as fundraising from outside and applying for subsidies from the Vision Society can finally start, and church members come to the church to help almost every day Architects move, while building the church, supporting human and financial resources for their own people, and also seeking resources from the outside world, working for more than a year The construction time of the church was completed in the most difficult situation and it was completed in September 1987. Xuhai Village is the most distinctive place among the six villages in Mudan Township. From the perspective of human geography and history, Xuhai Village is a multi-ethnic community.
