所謂的 "教育半潛艇" is just an old patched up boat.
Nothing to see in 後壁湖 from the 半潛艇 (see uploaded photos).
Don't waste time and money (350元) on 墾丁後壁湖半潛艇.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A first time experience. Can view some sealife but from a distance. Good for seniors and kids who are not suitable for snorkeling or diving.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 40 minute glass bottom boat tour of the reefs in surrounding bay. Lots of coral and fish. Saw a turtle, schools of butterfly fish, wrasse, parrot fish. Reef has strong currents which only very strong swimmers would survive snorkeling. This is the next best thing. TWD380 per adult. Kids 3-12 TWD300.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On the day we went we were blessed with seeing three sea turtles. Apparently 1 is what they aim for if possible.
It's fun to be under the waves, but as always I get nearly sea sick and enjoy it being over just as much as I enjoy the first 30 minutes.
Tours like this one encourage Taiwan to think about keeping their oceans clean.
