★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 胡傳（1841年－1895年8月22日），字鐵花，大清安徽省徽州府績溪縣上莊村人，清朝官員，曾任臺灣臺南鹽務提調、臺東直隸州知州，為知名文史學者胡適之父。
胡適於1952年12月27日探訪幼年住過一年多的臺東，演講「中學生的修養與擇業」。12月28日，他還在忠烈祠前種了兩株樟樹。臺東縣為紀念胡適的蒞臨，將火車站前的光復路改為鐵花路。以後並將鯉魚山忠烈祠日人遺留的忠魂碑，改建為「清臺東直隸州州官胡鐵花紀念碑」，1964年重建，1973年重修。
Chuan Hu (1841-August 22, 1895), the word Tiehua, was born in Shangzhuang Village, Jixi County, Huizhou Prefecture, Anhui Province, Qing Dynasty, and was a Qing Dynasty official. Father of literature and history scholar Hu Shi.
Hu Shiyu visited Taitung, who had lived for more than a year as a child, on December 27, 1952, and gave a lecture on "Cultivation and Career Choice of Middle School Students." On December 28, he also planted two camphor trees in front of the Martyr's Shrine. In honor of Hu Shi's visit, Taitung County changed Guangfu Road in front of the railway station to Tiehua Road. Later, the loyal soul monument left by the Japanese at the Lieyu Martyrs' Shrine was rebuilt into the "Tiehua Memorial Hall of the Governor of Zhili Prefecture, Qingtai East", rebuilt in 1964 and rebuilt in 1973.

Zhizhi, Dongzhili Prefecture, is the father of a well-known scholar of literature and history. Taitung currently has the Memorial of Tiehua, the official of the state of Zhili, Zhili State, and Tiehua Road Memorial.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place offers a nice opportunity to watch the city from above and is a nice little walk up this little mountain in the midst of Taitung. But..... so many stray dogs make the route feel quite u safe and uncomfortable. I had to turn a few times. Although they say dogs that bark don’t bite, from previous experience I don’t bet my money on that anymore. Some maintenance is needed too.
