★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 何で日本語の碑文が有るのかと思ったら、遭難者四人のうち一人が日本人だったんですね。緑島と蘭嶼の観光開発の為の活動だったようです。ちょうど前日蘭嶼から移動してきたこともあり、ひと事とは思えません。まだ機体なども発見されていないと書いてあります。ご冥福をお祈りいたします。
When I wondered why there are Japanese inscriptions, one of the four victims was Japanese. It seems that it was an activity for tourism development of Green Island and Lanhui. I just moved from Orchid the day before, so I don't think it's a thing. It is written that the aircraft has not been discovered yet. We pray for the souls.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 維基百科... 1993年2月28日，永興航空自臺北松山機場飛往蘭嶼的一架多尼爾228-201型客機，在暴雨中降落蘭嶼機場發生意外，墜毀在綠島蘭嶼海上，機上4名乘客和2名機組人員全部遇難。四位乘客分別為臺灣籍交通部科長李振雲與專員黃慧茹，當時陪同財團法人日本交通公社主任研究員池邊巧一 及研究員青谷尚一郎，日本方兩位受觀光局委託，到臺灣蘭嶼從事觀光設施研究，並計畫也到南臺灣出訪。
Wikipedia... On February 28, 1993, a Dornier 228-201 passenger plane from Taipei Songshan Airport to Lanyu landed at Lanyu Airport in a heavy rain accident and crashed on the green island of Lanyu. At sea, all 4 passengers and 2 crew members on board were killed. The four passengers were Li Zhenyun, the head of the Taiwanese Ministry of Transportation, and Huang Huiru, the commissioner. They were accompanied by the consortium of Japan Transportation Corporation Chief Researcher Ikebetsu Koichi and researcher Aoya Naoichiro. The two Japanese were commissioned by the Tourism Bureau to engage in sightseeing facilities in Lanyu, Taiwan. Research and plan to also visit southern Taiwan.

If I can only visit 3 spot in Green Island, here is one of them!
雖然紀念碑在整修，但這個點的景真的很棒，非常值得一來。

Although the monument is being refurbished, the view from this point is really great and well worth a visit.
