★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 由台九線南往北進入太麻里市區時，首先映入眼簾的是一座刻印著金針山字體的碑柱。由北往南進入市區，則會看見一隻貍貓右手拿著一朵金針花左手拿著一顆台東名產釋迦，而這隻貍貓也就是太麻里的地標。貍貓位於道路的交叉路口上，想不注意到它也很難。圓圓滾滾的貍貓相當可愛討人喜歡，笑咪咪的大臉好像歡迎來自各地的遊客光臨太麻里。前往太麻里的旅客絕大多數都是來欣賞金針山上的金針花，所以這個地標也反應出該地區的特色及特產。
When entering Taimali city from south to north on the Taijiu Line, the first thing you see is a stele inscribed with Jinzhenshan font. When you enter the city from north to south, you will see a civet cat holding a golden needle flower in the right hand and a famous Taitung custard apple in the left hand, and this civet cat is also the landmark of Taimali. The civet cat is located at the intersection of the road, and it is difficult not to notice it. The chubby civet cat is very cute and likable, and the big smile of Mimi's face seems to welcome tourists from all over Taimali. Most of the visitors to Taimali come to admire the golden needle flowers on the Golden Needle Mountain, so this landmark also reflects the characteristics and specialties of the area.
