★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The neighborhood is a bit rustic, but there are convenience stores, coffee shops and local street food around this area. There is a nice stretch of biking path along the coast, and the view of the distant mountains in Hualien and Taroko is exhilirating. You can rent bikes at the Visitor Center for NTD 100, you just need to return them by 5pm (don’t expect much on the bike quality; there might be better bike rentals around here but we were not able to explore them). There is also a more challenging bike path leading to the cliff. Such a shame it was raining when we came, but it was still good fun.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This beach is so calm and peaceful. People said that this beach is the best for sunrise, but when I visited it during the sunset, it was also nice. The beach line is quite long so make sure you come here with enough of time to walk from one side to another side of the beach.
