★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 銅門村，舊稱為「同門」（太魯閣語：Dowmung），為「山麓的平坦之地」的意思，後因發現銅礦，又是日人開鑿「初音奇萊橫斷道路」（今能高越嶺古道東段）的交通隘口，而改稱「銅門」。
木瓜溪是花蓮溪最北，也是流域面積最大的支流，因木瓜山聳立在該溪進入平原的要口，故得名「木瓜溪」，太魯閣族語為「Yayung Mglu」，「周圍狀似喉頭的溪流地形」之意。
銅門大橋欣賞清澈的木瓜溪風光。
Tongmen Village, formerly known as "Tongmen" (Taruko: Dowmung), means "a flat land at the foot of the mountain". Later, because of the discovery of copper mines, the Japanese digged the "Hatsune Qilai Crossing Road" (now The traffic pass on the eastern section of the Nenggaoyueling Ancient Road) was renamed "Tongmen".
Papaya Creek is the northernmost branch of Hualien Creek and the largest tributary in the basin. Because Papaya Mountain stands at the entrance of the river into the plain, it is named "Papaya Creek". The Taroko language is "Yayung Mglu", and "surrounding shape" "The topography of a stream resembling a throat" means.
Enjoy the clear scenery of Papaya Creek from the Tongmen Bridge.
