Before the completion of the Suhua Highway, the Hakka who migrated to Hualien by the waterway took a boat to the Ji’an coast and landed on the coast of Ji’an. Because the beach of Lanlan Bay is wide and shallow, the large boat carrying passengers must be anchored hundreds of meters away. We then hired manpower to connect with small "barge boats." When encountering typhoons or northeast monsoons, stormy seas often caused ships to capsize. Therefore, the Hulan Bridge was built to commemorate the perseverance of the Hakka ancestors.

洄瀾吊橋主要是紀念東部海邊客家移徙歷史的艱辛，所以橋梁意象以先人登陸洄瀾灣的接駁船作為設計的。
When we arrived, it seemed that the construction had just been completed, and it happened to be twilight that the bridge lights were already on!
The Huan Lan Suspension Bridge is mainly to commemorate the hardships of the Hakka migration history on the eastern coast, so the bridge image is designed with the barge boat that the ancestors landed in Huan Lan Bay.
