The Ami cultural relics museum in the Doulanshe tribe was the location of Doulan Shrine in the Japanese period, and earlier was the location of the tribe club. Earlier, the three tribes of Nadulan, Bobo, and Lilou would jointly hold a ritual at the location of the Ami Museum. The young people of the age group (Ami: selal) would jointly hunt for the head, and then hung the heads of the hunted people in front of the club. The bird banyan tree becomes the place where harvest festivals and adult ceremonies are held. During the Japanese period, the ruling authorities built "Doran Shrine" in the area. During the imperial era, tribal people also held marriage ceremonies in front of the gods and sumo matches here, which was an important gathering place. After World War II, the location of the shrine was converted into a tribal sports park, and some large-scale tribal activities are still held here. In October 2001, the Indigenous Peoples Committee subsidized the local community to build a cultural relics museum and a multi-functional activity center on the site of the shrine. (Wikipedia)

The audience seats in the venue are arranged at a distance that is wide enough to allow the audience to leave their seats freely without closing their feet. The floor is also clean, but the toilets should be refurbished and need to be improved.

If it is said that the funds are insufficient, the air-conditioning on the second floor and the library on the third floor are fine, but in many details, I feel that I did not care about the maintenance of the library. Even the facade is covered with garbage, which hides the original good wood carvings.

The information at the door stated that it was open on Saturday, but it did not open at all, which was disappointing.

[October 3, 2021] It was closed on Sundays. I only see the exterior, but it is a magnificent museum. I couldn't help it, so I walked around the outside. Inside the wall of the site, there was a picture of sumo wrestling with a mawashi. I would like to find an opportunity to ask the people at the museum about what it means. I haven't looked inside yet, but there is an outdoor exhibition, so it has 4 stars.
