No one comes here to swim, except when there is a triathlon, but there is a paved pathway around the lake that is suitable for all ages and a number of trails that you can choose from to climb Liyu Mountain. It can be a bit busy with tourists on the weekends, so if you are a local, it's best to hit it up during the week.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little lake. Just watched a series of live shows of laser lights combined with fast moving water fountains and story-telling dances. It reminded me of similar shows at Bellagio in Las Vegas except in a much smaller scale and less interesting levels in content. I guessed it would be commendable for a local government that was willing to spend sizable money to produce such tourists attraction in such hot summer nights. For that, it deserved a standing ovation!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In love with this area. The mountains are so lush and well cared for and the lake... Wow what a peaceful place to be at.
There are a few different rest stops you can visit around the lake. Some you can go in with your motor vehicle, other places you can only walk or bike around.
The more touristy area has public bathrooms, some restaurants with lots of seafood snacks and drinks, and also some rental places for paddle boarding as well as pedal boats.
I enjoyed going to the more quiet locations and just sitting in the middle of this majestic place, enjoying the silence and the fresh air.
