The Toyota Immigration Guidance Office was completed in 1913 (Taisho 2) and was a wooden building with a thatched roof. As the administrative center of the immigration village, the immigration guidance office is responsible for land distribution, farming, women workers, military service, health and other tasks in addition to general administrative services. It is an important historical evidence to witness the development of immigration villages in Huadong area. Between 1914 and 1917, the Toyota Village was severely damaged by the wind disaster, and was transformed into what it is today. With the adjustment of the government-run immigration policy, the Governor-General of Taiwan ended government-run immigration in 1918 (Taisho 7th year), abolished the Toyota Immigration Guidance Office, and changed it to the Hualien Port Toyota Office under the jurisdiction of the Hualien Port Department. The building was taken over by the residents' association, the most important social organization in the resettlement village. After the Second World War, it was converted into a national language teaching class, a tutoring classroom for Fengli Elementary School, etc., which witnessed the various stages of village development in the Toyota area and condensed the living memory of local residents in different eras. It was registered as a historic building in 2013. The removed old truss is displayed in the backyard, especially the upper and lower columns with stigmas protruding toward the gable side. This is the truss used for the starting point of the palace hall. In addition, ancient French cement tiles have also been preserved.
