Great antique setup of dining table.. table definitely can last for decades.... Great steamboat for vegetarian too. I tried the Mongolian steamboat (nice soup, natural sweetness with the vegetables.

The milk hot pot is special and delicious, and it tastes like cream soup. The vegetables are fresh, and some of them are rare. The rice and sauce are self served, and the meal set comes with fruits and a dessert.

I have really mixed feelings about writing this review. In fact, I am shocked at how high the ratings are. Came here with a family of 4 adults and 3 children, all aged 3 and under on a weekday evening. We chose this place because of all the great reviews. We made reservations and arrived on time. When we got here, the place looked almost closed. The server came downstairs and asked if we were the party of 7. We said yes, and she asked us quite rudely if we wanted to sit together or apart. We said together, and then she motioned with her arm to these 2 tables on the first floor and started arranging them. It seemed like we were troubling her as she dragged the chairs and tables around. She then turned on the lights and told us the menus were on the counter and left. She did not offer us any high chairs even though there was one in the corner we found later on (which we helped ourselves to). We were extremely shocked at this first impression. We took a look at the menus, and then when she came back, she gruffly asked what we wanted to order. She took our orders down without even looking up and was extremely curt. The hot pots came relatively fast and I do have to say the ingredients were fresh and the milk hot pot as everyone recommended was tasty. The broth does get tastier as you eat. One of us had ordered the vegetarian platter and it wasn't until after the meal when she was serving us the fruits and the panna cotta, did she say that the vegetarian one did NOT come with the panna cotta dessert. Why didn't she say anything when we ordered....? Super weird in my opinion. Anyway, the food does NOT justify the attitude and poor service of this establishment. I sincerely hope the owners pay attention to their servers (unless the server is the owner.. then... omg is all I have to say about that). Thank God you don't have to tip in Taiwan...

We ordered the Thai vegetable hot pot which didn't have a great flavour (we were expecting a stronger Thai flavour) but they had nice sauces which we could refill at the sauce station. The ambience was good and the decor is natural and heartwarming. The service was friendly and prices reasonable. My friend and I enjoyed our dinner, chatted for a long time and had a great time there after our bike ride.
