★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting ice cream at Jiufen, literally peanut roll ice cream, what you get is ice cream with peanut shavings when eaten together. A single serving is cut into two portion which you can share with your family before deciding to get more. Didn’t try this the first time I was here and it was only after my wife mentioned it to me that I manage to spot it along the way back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When you walk along the old street in Jiufen do not miss the delicious Peanut ice cream roll. It is without any milk products. We like the version without the coriander. The roll is made of a rice sheet and peanut fragments are spread on the ice cream before wrapping. Then, it is sliced into two parts to share and to go.
