Clean and easy to shop

A-mart's vegetables and fruits are often quickly spoiled. I think local morning street markets may offer better and fresh produce.

loveee shopping here. im from malaysia, i dont know that the milk was buy 1 free 1, and then the staff show and talk to me in Malay. If there meat or chicken that halal is a bonus.

Early morning weekdays are best for comfortable shopping. Checkout counters of 1 meter are too short for the content of one fully loaded shopping cart, resulting in a pileup of quickly scanned items. Why, when there is still a lot of open space ? the result is a rushed feeling trying to fill your bags or boxes especially when you are checking and bagging as one person. No mercy, next please? Then mixing with other people's goods starts. Extend the counters or offer bagging assistance, additional empty cart at the end of the counter to refill, as Costco does. Update/down to two star: During Covid I shop less often but in large volumes/weight to minimize contact. Always bring my own folded (sorry) Costco carry bags, stored inside a 'keep cold' bag (50x45x10 cm)to any shop. Never a problem, Now try at A.mart: 'this bag is too BIG' the new security guard says, 'you must store it outside' in an un-sanitized safe 100 meters away. No sanitized cardboard boxes today either. How to shop safely then? 'Buy (polluting flimsy plastic) bags inside' he said, but that does not make sense. So I continued but before even shopping one item I found myself cornered by a chief with big guys and ever more staff rushing out of nowhere gawking at a lone foreigner: 'this must be big'. Finally!! the chief had a look inside our freezer bag: medicines and some fresh mantou buns, four heavy duty tarpaulin Costco bags. We were allowed to shop, followed by security cameras. Please have staff put the customer first, review layout and SOP of Costco, Carrefour stores nearby, Mr. Douglas Hsu. Even when running the only surviving hypermarket in town.

It's the only hypermarket/supermarket left in Keelung for your shopping needs. It has a little bit of everything from daily items to groceries. Price is competitive vs others. It is good enough for me that I don't have to drive to Taipei area for what I needed.

More expensive than Carrefour, but carries some items I don't find anywhere else. During the week pretty empty
