★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the most beautiful tea house in Jiu Fen, most photographed too. the service was ok, staff was friendly. the tea and sweets were good. the view from the terrace is breathtaking. a bit pricey for the tea & snacks, but worth the experience. another alternative is to drink tea at next door house overlooking A Mei teahouse and enjoy your tea while looking at this gorgeous house.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is packed with bamboo chairs and special teacups, which has the best atmosphere for having Chinese tea, we all certainly enjoyed the taste of green tea and the view here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic, awesome views from this tea house. This might be the most famous tea house. It gets most of the tourists. Drinks are expensive, the best seating area is 2fl terrace. View wise, the tea house across the street are much better. The myth about the famous Japanese animation film- Ghost Away is model after this tea house which is not true. The director has never been here. Nonetheless, even the Taiwan government tourist website claims this. The tea house maintain some old building detail which I really appreciated. As far as tea experience, it’s not that great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most famous tea house in Jiufen and inspired Spirited Away. Definitely recommend getting the tea set - 300NT per person. The servers show you how to make tea in the traditional way. We're never able to finish the tea completely, but the view and the snacks themselves are good. Highly recommend for the experience! Make sure to get a terrace seat, so you can enjoy the view! The best place to take photos of the tea house itself though, is the patio across the alley--pretty much where everyone is lined up to take pictures.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good tea experience for tourists, ordered the tea set which is 300ntd per person, there are some tea snacks served along with a pot of oolong tea (we can't choose the tea for this set). Overall worth the experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Several scenes of the animation spirited away was allegedly inspired by this tea house at Jioufen.
Would recommend to visit at night due to the mystical red patterns and small alleys which gives it a mysterious and spooky feel.
You could try the food and tea over at A mei tea house and the menu could be seen over at their website.
The day and night view is vastly different so you can decide whether to dine in during the day or night!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A-Mei Tea House is a famous attraction in Jiufen.It’s a compound restaurant which supply some light meals and many kinds of tea or beverages.We can choose the outdoor area and spend whole afternoon to see the outstanding sea scenery.
In addition,tea and snacks are in a set,undoubtedly,both of them are scrumptious!
