It being a more formal banquet style type restaurant, as a welcome dinner hosted by a local friend this felt just right for the occasion. I was impressed by the food. The 烏魚子 here was cooked just right. The sticky rice with steamed crab was extremely good! I also tried the milk fish for the first time here, which the milky like texture / taste of the fish's belly I will always remember. The staffs were overall very friendly and accommodating. Don't miss the photos when passing by the entrance where you can see some past famous patrons.

If you are not familiar with local foods or can’t speak Chinese, don’t bother to figure out what are on the menu. Just order the set for two or four. The set includes the most famous “Steamed crab with glutinous rice” (紅蟳米糕) and other items they are good with.

Appetizer, assorted platter, soup, steamed mud crab with glutinous rice, fruits and dessert are served. My favourite is the steam glutinous rice, which is the top 1 cuisine of this restaurant. The assorted platter also surprises me, I like the sweetness variation of Taiwanese food, which we call it the way of Tainan cuisine. 蟳丸, 蝦棗 are very traditional and not easy to get somewhere else.

They provide traditional Taiwanese cuisine with perfect quality, the Crab glutinous rice, Assorted platter, Fried Eel and so on... are certainly spectacular and should be tried. As being a Taiwanese, I would say these days, it’s not that easy to find a place that can offer such amazing traditional dishes in Taiwan. I am willing to give it 6 stars, and what a shame I can just rate it 5 stars on google map.
H	HuaiTi Huang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Greatest Taiwanese Cuisine. Must eat in Tainan. The Crab Rice is the most famous. Crab is the very best with sparkle red eggs in it. Side dishes are the special Tainan flavor. Price is a little bit higher, but the food quality is so good.Highly recommand.

Glutinous rice was laid below the crab and it was tasty and full of ingredients. A must order when you are here! Also ordered the four assorted dish - absolutely loved this! Love the crab meat balls and shrimp dates the most. Do order this as well! Also tried the local stir fried eel which was fresh and flavourful. Slight sweetness to the sauce. Good addition of onions and leeks. The almond dessert was amazing. Not usually a fan of almond but this was really good! Unexplainable texture - in between pudding and Boba pearls. Really “QQ” texture which was chewy and delicious. Overall, thumbs up!! ??????
