During the Japanese rule and after World War II, a number of anti-airborne machine gun forts and artillery bunkers were established on the Datu Mountain platform. Among them, 12 were listed as historic buildings by the city and are now preserved. They are located in Wanggaojing Metropolitan Park and Shuihu Economic and Trade Park. There are a total of five towers in Wanggao. One is next to the Animal House in Taichung City, two is to the left and right of the viewing platform, and the other two are near the Night View Park. After the war, the A01 bunker was at the right rear of the viewing platform. After passing the Zhongtai Road, go down to the left. The muzzle is facing the Datu Xikou. It is a saddle-shaped reinforced concrete artillery bunker built by the National Army after the war. Because it is no longer of military value, it is sealed in wild vines and has been listed as a historical building. It should be arranged as soon as possible and beautify the landscape.
