ABCD . A Better Coffee & Doughnut

It’s my second time visiting this cafe. I tried the peach doughnut and banana doughnut. Both tasted nice and elegant. A simple delight for the afternoon

***no actual donuts here*** Donuts are supposed to be a fried dough gift from God. It’s basically just wheat-dough and yeast fried to a pleasant gold then the doughy melt-in-the-mouth sensation should follow This ABCD version gets a “F” in my book. The dough itself yielded a stodgy baked bread-like texture. Oh, and where’s better coffee when offerings are limited to americano, latte, sparkling coffee, caffeine free. Anyone can top a donut with fancy, flashy, Instagram-worthy toppings This is branding and product positioning issue rather than the product itself. Their pastry style could potentially bake some really good danish rolls. I also appreciate the catchy name ABCD and concept. With a few tweaks and revamp, they may just fly. Of 5 donuts reviewed by 2 people, we didn't like any of them. Beautiful presentation and quality texture, but the ingredients just didn't match a good palette. The berry tasted too artificial like detergent (like eating jam directly from a jar). The banana and peach were too overwhelming. The chocolate tasted like vodka (I thought it'd be subtle), and the lemon tasted too artificial (minus the quality meringue on top). Then, finally, we were kicked out in the rain due to stinginess; they wanted us to buy 2 drinks to eat inside, even though we bought half a dozen donuts and we were the only customers that already spent a lot here. We weren't even thirsty (we just came from a cafe, and wanted room for the donuts). It felt lonely inside and cafes prosper when you can see people are eating inside - most places *want* you to eat there since it's essentially free marketing (rarely people venture into cafes with no customers). Since the dough was good, I bet just a classic flavor like glazed would be amazing, but the combos were just too experimental. They also shouldn't force drinks since people come here for donuts, as long as each person buys one - no one does this. Overall, it was not a good experience, both in customer service and taste. We will not return. Despite my negative review, this place has potential; but looking at other review comments from the owner, I can see the owner is mostly defensive to them instead of applying feedback. -- Edit: To reply to the owner, if one can creatively come up with a peanut butter bacon donut, one can't imagine that detergent wouldn't taste like it smells? If you put as much effort in applying feedback as you do defensively shaming your honest reviewers, perhaps you folks would have more customers. If your strategy is to shame people into buying drinks due to date pressure, I feel that karma will find its way back. Fortunately, my wife and I both thought this was a ridiculous tactic. We tried every donut and each one was excellent! Not too sweet and delicious flavors. Kind owners and cute and quiet shop

LOVE the delicate and tasty flavors, it's a sham I couldn't try all of them, but 2 out of 9 are very yummy. The flavor choices are not like regular kinds, they are unique and distinguish, challenge my normal impression on donuts! I would highly recommend this place. The price is a bit high, but I think it's worth a try.

Must try❤️ Donuts are so bad for my diet. So when I really want to break my diet, I pick the best one to break in. This store make the best donuts! They made donuts as fancy as it can be. As exotic as it could become. The combinations of the ingredients are so surprising yet it all works super well together. My guilty pleasure!

Delicious I’ve been wanting to try the donuts and I had the berry one it was sweet with a yummy light dough. The latte was satisfactory, it was a plain latte I did not ask if they had flavors I just saw the menu and picked, maybe they have more options. I wanted to eat all of the donuts I’d assume they are all just as delicious.
