Found what I hadn't even been looking for. Out for a walk around some blocks after dinner I stumbled across this little ACT guitar shop on Jian Xing Road & Lane 964 / San Zhong Xi. Behind the Museum of Natural History. Left hand side when you walk from the SOGO mall (and don't get fooled by the Gmaps address). I saw this Baby GW-135 3/4 traveller's guitar and fell for it. As I am in Taichung for a few days (or weeks) on a regular basis, this was exactly it. Decent price (not more than online), bag, strap, tuner and pick included. Plus the owner changed the strings to left hand for me. Very nice, very friendly. Return shipping address included. But that won't be necessary. If you are in the area looking not for the signature Gibson, but something with a few strings you can play on, this is the place to see. I have been playing it for a week now and I am more than happy. Nice sound. Even though it got turned into a left hand. Made in TW. Mahogany front and back, don't know about the neck. Rock solid, stays tuned. Nice look, nice finish. The neck is a bit heavy. And as it is rather small, the guys in our office won't complain too much when I dump it on them until I come back.
