The new Neihu site covers an area of ​​about 6.5 hectares, which was leased by the American Institute in Taiwan from the end of 2004 to the beginning of 2005 with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On June 22, 2009, the Taipei Office of the American Association in Taiwan held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Taipei office. The new site was selected at Jinhu Road, Neihu District, Taipei City, with an area of ​​6.5 hectares, and only 15% of it was on the ground. The rest of the buildings are covered by vegetation. It is impossible to know how many structures there are underground facilities. The construction cost of the new building is 216 million U.S. dollars (approximately NT$6.25 billion). It was completed and moved into use, and was actually completed in 2018. The new building is adjacent to Neihu Station on the Wenhu Line of Taipei MRT. Its premises adopt a fortress layout and have anti-terrorism design. An announcement ceremony was held on June 12, 2018, and the relocation was officially completed before September 30.

This site is adjacent to the American Association of Taiwan (new site). However, if it is compared with the entrance and exit, it is closer to the Corning Police Station.
