Very disappointed. This is barely an American school, I don't even know if English is the main language here. I spent half of my time here in Mr. Keen's office for reasons equivalent to tapping someone on the back. When I visited AST I was told that I would be allowed into an advanced science class since I was 3 years ahead before I came here. I ended up in Environmental Science. Algebra 2 is not even a class, it is more of a place where a man writes random numbers on the board and you teach yourself what he is saying by going on Khan Academy. Not to forget, the mosquitoes. There is an algae filled retention pond that attracts the bugs. Each day I go home itching. I could go on and on all day about how much of a trash pile this school is but it isn't worth it. If you are thinking about coming here... DON'T! One last thing I would like to say is that there are good teachers here but the good ones deserve better. Honestly, I am probably going to get in trouble for writing this hahaha.

If you're white or only speak English, I do not recommend this school in any way, shape, or form. It costs a lot of money, yet nothing ever gets done. There's a beautiful field there that could be fixed and renewed into an amazing field, but is instead left unused and unfixed. Almost every single student here only speaks Chinese. It's rare to find one that wont. Even though there's supposedly a rule that you can only speak English so as to include everyone. That rule is never enforced. If you only speak English or you don't speak Chinese and you come here, expect to feel pretty lonely and depressed. I mean my first year here I sat alone on a hill for lunch because everyone only spoke Chinese so I was left surrounded by people, but alone. When I told the staff and director about this, nothing was changed. The director also doesn't make any changes when students give him feedback or tell him how they feel. He is unforgiving and inconsiderate.I'll say "Hi" or "Good morning" sincerely to him and he'll just stare at me as I go by. He doesn't even say it back. He always suspects that the white kids are the ones causing problems in the school when in reality, everyone else is doing the same things, but they only speak chinese, so only we get in trouble. Don't go here if you're white. Everyone will hate you, including the director and students. There are some good teachers and peers, but the teachers deserve a better school to be honest. Do not attend this school if you like being happy, receiving a good education, or being listened to and appreciated. Go to a different school if you want that.

The Chromebooks are very restricted and laggy. Food has improves but can still bet better. Wifi is slow. Discord is blocked. People are speaking Chinese. You have to wake up at 6:20 am to catch the bus. It takes about 45 minutes to get here. Blocks are too long. Not enough time for breaks between blocks.

Chromebook has no privacy, you get restricted by the school and it makes the Chromebook lag very much. The lunch is not worth for that cost if it doesn't taste good enough. The WIFI needed to be IMPROVED

AST really plays a major role in my life. Being a student who have never been to Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten, AST is my first school. It taught me many life lessons and also helped me long the way. The teachers here are very welcome and kind. Despite our small classes, teachers build long term relationships with students. Which makes it easier for us students to ask any teacher to write us a recommendation letter. Bullying is never a problem at this school, and the kids here are so nice! The environment is also amazing here, up in the mountains! Because we are up in the mountains, we have mosquitoes, which is true. But this is something that is uncontrollable. This is our environment! The school is improving every year, to match each students', parents', and teachers' requests!

The school is improving in many ways. The teachers are very willing to help the students out and the program they set up is pretty interesting. We have some whole school activity such as carnival and Halloween to spend time with families and friends. Even though there are still some things to be fixed such as chrome books and school lunch, overall AST is a good school to learn.

Ye (/jeɪ/ YAY; born Kanye Omari West; June 8, 1977), commonly known as Kanye West[c] (/ˈkɑːnjeɪ/ KAHN-yay), is an American rapper, record producer, entrepreneur and fashion designer.[3][4][5][6] He is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential hip hop musicians of all time, as well as one of the greatest musicians of his generation. Born in Atlanta and raised in Chicago, West gained recognition as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records in the early 2000s, producing singles for several artists and developing the "chipmunk soul" sampling style. Intent on pursuing a solo career as a rapper, he released his debut studio album, The College Dropout (2004), to critical and commercial success. West subsequently founded his record label GOOD Music later that same year. West explored diverse musical elements such as orchestral arrangements, synthesizers, and autotune on the albums Late Registration (2005), Graduation (2007), and 808s & Heartbreak (2008). Drawing inspiration from maximalism and minimalism respectively, his fifth album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010) and sixth album Yeezus (2013) were also released to critical and commercial success. West further diversified his musical styles on The Life of Pablo (2016) and Ye (2018), and explored Christian and gospel music on Jesus Is King (2019). After a series of delays, his highly anticipated tenth album Donda (2021) was released to continued commercial success, but to mixed critical reception. He released its sequel, Donda 2 (2022), a few months later, exclusively through his tie-in audio speaker service. West's discography also includes the full-length collaborative albums Watch the Throne (2011) with Jay-Z and Kids See Ghosts (2018) with Kid Cudi. West's outspoken views and life outside of music have received significant media coverage. He has been a frequent source of controversy for his conduct on social media, award shows, and public settings; as well as his comments on the music and fashion industries, U.S. politics, race, and slavery. His Christian faith, estranged marriage to Kim Kardashian, and mental health have also been sources of further media attention.[7][8] As a fashion designer, he has collaborated with Nike, Louis Vuitton, The Gap, and A.P.C. on clothing and footwear, and leads the Yeezy collaboration with Adidas. He is also the founder and head of the creative content company Donda. In 2020, West launched an unsuccessful independent presidential campaign that primarily advocated for a consistent life ethic.[9][10] One of the world's best-selling music artists, with over 160 million records sold, West has won 24 Grammy Awards, the joint tenth-most of all time, and the joint-most Grammy awards of any rapper along with Jay-Z.[11] He is frequently lauded as one of hip hop's greatest artists, with his music among the most acclaimed.[12][13] Among his other awards are the Billboard Artist Achievement Award, a joint-record three Brit Awards for Best International Male Solo Artist and the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.[14] Six of West's albums were included on Rolling Stone's 2020 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list with the same publication naming him one of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time.[15] He holds the joint record (with Bob Dylan) for most albums (4) topping the annual Pazz & Jop critic poll, and has the 5th most appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 (133 entries). Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2005 and 2015.[16][17] Forbes estimates his net worth at $2 billion as of 2022, making him the wealthiest musician in the world.[18][19][20]
