★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the must-visit destinations in Tainan. Lots of history here. Does have an entry fee but it's only $50 regular rate and even better deal if you purchase a package or special rates. Basically free. Has nice air conditioned areas to take a break from the heat in the hot weather. Lots of various local foods nearby. Popular with both locals and tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty old Dutch fort with a museum. We enjoyed it, being Dutch, and I can imagine it’s cool for anyone who is slightly interested in history.
It’s not fully old and original, but the vibe is nice. There is a small museum with good explanation. The tower gives somewhat of a view.
We loved to wander around and soak up the history, old walls and stairs.
There is a small entrance fee, but it also gives you access to other things in Tainan (like the treehouse).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a great place for kids to look at. Over-all it's just a brick fort and probably not very exciting for most kids but it was a great place to take pictures with the kids. It's probably a place we would go only 1 time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great place to visit in Tainan for some history and a small entrance fee. The fort walls were built in 1624 and you can learn about the history and timeline of the area in the Fort Zeelandia Museum. There is a tower where you can take in views of the surrounding city and there’s also a small gift shop.
