Appare串酒場

We have been regulars at Appare restaurant at Zhubei over the last 6 months, where we go once a week and spend at least 3-4000 NTD, and several times with friends where we spent over 6000 NTD. When we got a dog, we asked them if we could visit with her, and they assured us that the dog was welcome. When we did today, they first offered us a table near the door, which would obviously disturb anybody walking in or out. We requested for a table in the corner, which they gave us, but then, they kept staring and asked us to move the dog here and there, so we ultimately were forced to leave after spending NTD 1700 including wine, without even eating our food. If you cannot have the maturity to accept customers, who comply with your rules, why do you have such rules. Allowing dogs isn’t just to act cool. You should love having them there and support people who bring them. Why run a place, with immature kids as waiters, who don’t know how to behave with decency? It is an extremely poor experience, and me as a foreigner, has never faced such a poor handling of hospitality anywhere in my travels around the world.

Food is ok Service is terrible Hey! I am customer and I don’t own you anything If you don’t like to work . GO HOME I don’t normally leave bad review as running restaurant business is not easy but you do need to train your staff better

Delicious food ,friendly staffs, great alcohol options, relax atmosphere and reasonable price. Had a lot of good time with friends and colleagues. Recommend to everyone who needs a nice dinner after a stressful working day

This is a great place for relaxing after work, huge variety of Japanese skeweres complemented with a wide array of Sake, draft beer and wine a La carte. It is one if my favorite spot to hang out especially later in the evening as they close at 2 am. Make a reservation ahead if time if you are planing to come in late. They also have a nice patio with outdoor seating which is great is you are a smoker.

Awesome izakaya restaurant from the interiors down to the amazong flavors. Everything tasted sooooo good. Staff also speak English, which is a plus! Will definitely come back.

20200724: tried their salted pork on a more recent visit. the cut of meat looks to be pork belly so it is very fatty as well as salty. the serve it with a bowl of rice wine for dipping which went surprisingly well. otherwise, quality and standards maintained. 20191220: great food, great vibe, friendly staff. had a number of skewers, all were well made and no disappointments. found the beef wrapped around the soft boiled egg skewer and grilled chives to be particularly tasty. price is slightly higher but is reasonable given the product and experience.

Great place for a drink and BBQ. Serve till midnight. Family and even kids love the grills. Suggest to stop by and give it a try!

A Japanese style izakaya, something like a sports bar. You can gather friends and family to have a drink during popular sports events. Comfortable and neat decorated environment, staffs were welcoming and helpful. The ordering area is outside by the entrance, you choose what to order, the staff will grill it, roast it and deliver it to you. The ingredients are served fresh without waiting too much. Great food excellent experience, would definetly recommend!!
