★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 在水門觀賞濁水溪水奔騰入水門，引入圳道，尤其大雨過後，流水氣勢有如千軍萬馬奔騰而過，實為八卦山風景區另一項奇景。 在水門與員集路旁(縣152道路)旁興闢之八堡圳公園，設有遊憩設施。但因缺少維護都已荒廢。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 很舒服的一個親水小公園，可惜進去的路太小，也沒什麼知名度，設施也都鎖定了，植有落羽松，風景不錯。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 路邊好停車，沒廁所，附近帶小朋友騎腳腳踏車還蠻舒服的，旁邊的河川有人在釣魚。

其實若能從152縣道開一條入口道路，人潮會多好幾十倍。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1.八堡圳是清康熙年間由施世榜籌款, 為取濁水溪之水灌溉八堡農田所建, 為臺灣最早開鑿的水圳, 旁邊現設八堡圳公園.
2.公園設自行車停車柱、解說牌、指示牌.
3.公園旁設自行車道.
4.公園無廁所. (註: 廁所請到「八堡圳取入口制排水門」旁, 設一個小便斗, 二間蹲式馬桶.)
1. Babao Canal was built by Shi Shibang during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty to irrigate Babao farmland with the water from Zhuoshui Stream. It was the earliest water canal in Taiwan, and there is now Babao Canal Park next to it.
2. The park is equipped with bicycle parking posts, explanatory signs and signs.
3. There is a bicycle path next to the park.
4. There are no toilets in the park. (Note: Please go to the "Babaozhen Intake System Drainage Gate" for toilets. There is a urinal and two squat toilets.)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 好停車，還發現小綠繡眼在學飛，旁邊有水門可以參觀，不過公園有些未整理，小黑蚊頗多。
