Báng-kah Presbyterian Church

It was not easy to preach and build a church in the Qing Dynasty. The Presbyterian Church was a place with a long history and story. --------------------------------------------- In 1879, Dr. Ma Yi purchased a self-built church in Bajiazhuang (now Guiyang Street, now referred to as the second section of Guiyang Street, Liuzhou Street, and Guangzhou Street), and constructed his twelfth church in Taiwan.

An active church with a large organ, a great choir, and sections and activities from children to the elderly. You can go up by the elevator. (There is also a floor where the elevator does not stop after hours.) Japanese believers who can speak Japanese are also Chirahora.

Stately and magnificent church with organ. The Mengjia Church is the twelfth church built by Dr. Ma Kai at the Taiwan Mission. In 1979, he bought land in Bajiazhuang (current site) to build a chapel (the first church building). When the French attacked Taiwan, the villains demolished the chapel. The pastor and consular officer visited Liu Mingchuan and sent a complaint to discuss the matter. Later, Liu Mingchuan was responsible for compensation and rebuilding according to the price. The completion ceremony was held on March 7, 1884 (the second church building, the eighth anniversary of teaching). Later, due to the small chapel, the number of friends increased and the two sides of the church were added. The construction was completed in 1922 and it was completed in March 1923 (the third church building). The fourth construction of the church (started on June 5, 1983 and completed in February 1986.) It is worth the 110th anniversary of the memorial building.

Mengjia Church is a Christian Presbyterian church founded by Dr. Ma Kai in 1876. After walking through the church, you can clearly see Wanhua’s historical history and show Wanhua’s international footprint. It is worth recalling these great historical figures.
