★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a small Temple of the Land God in Mengjia or Wanhua area, Taipei, but it is a relatively old temple in Mengjia area. FuDer-Gong Temple [Temple of the God of Land or Temple of the Land God] of Mengjia, Taipei- The Temple which has about 270 years of history in Taiwan, although it was located in another nearby location in Taipei for long time until it was forced to relocate in 1981, because of road widening project.
The temple is unique because other than Land God, it worships Tiger Master, which is well liked by business communities because businessmen and businesswomen believe that Tiger Master would protect their businesses, benefit and boost their fortune. The Tiger Master is worshipped at its left corner of the small main worship hall.
The Temple has numerous candle lighting vases, which were contributed by various business entities and individuals, for family and business wellbeing worship and for good luck praying.
Temple's farmer calendar is unique because it is one of very few calendars which provides western calendar, Buddhist and Taoist calendar information.
The Temple has been taken care of a female volunteer custodian, Lady Huang, for about 50 years, and she seems to do a good job for maintain temple candle lightening, cleaning, and other service for the convenience of the visitors and worshippers.
The Temple is in walking distance of Longshan [DRagon Mountain] Temple of Mengjia area, and Taipei Metro Rail Service does has transportation to Longshan Temple.
