★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 老街真的比較老舊，除了傳統小吃和市場之外，很多人應該不會刻意來逛這裡。不過，鹹粥、亞東甜不辣、東石小吃店、四神湯、肉羹等老店鋪，都在附近，有空倒可以過來嚐嚐。
 Lao Cai is really old, except for traditional snacks and markets, many people shouldn't come here deliberately. However, old shops such as salty porridge, Yadong sweet and not spicy, Dongshi snack bar, Sishen soup, meat soup, etc. are all nearby, so you can come and try them when you have time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Besides temples and one ancient hospital at the intersection of Guiyang Street and Xiyuan Road, there are only two historic buildings left in this part of the street as far as I can recognize.
Temples are well preserved. The ancient hospital has a very beautiful Art Deco styled facade.
The rest two historic buildings that formed the so-called “historic street” are poorly maintained despite the fact that there are still people living inside and shops opening on the ground floor. It’s not a very touristy attraction but it’s very special in its way. I would say it’s more suitable for people who like genuine old stuff or ruins, or not so touristy stuff.
