寶焙．Baobei Bakery - Section 2

I came here for Taiwanese cinnamon rolls. From ordering and enquiring through Facebook private messaging to picking up the goods on the spot, I can feel the enthusiasm of the clerk (banniang?). The green on the top of the cinnamon roll is not matcha powder, it is ground cinnamon powder made with fresh leaves of Taiwanese cinnamon. I also took out the cinnamon powder to show me when I picked up the goods. But I may be used to eating regular cinnamon rolls, and I think the green taste is a bit weird...? Of course, the taste of cinnamon rolls is good. If you haven't tried it, you can try it.

It only takes three minutes to walk from Tianmu Sports Park to Baobei in the second section of Zhongzheng Road, if you are not lost. It is only open four days a week, and it is open every day from one o'clock in the afternoon. The exterior is made of grindstone and wood, and it is an inter-textured bakery. The store is not big, except for the baking space, it is only about five square meters. Even so, there were waves of people coming in, with a little bit of bread coming out every hour or two before closing the shop. Star breads such as mini croissants, toast without water, Kunge 2 days and 2 nights baguettes, etc. are always available late to buy. The shop’s cinnamon rolls are like a small round house, with the roof carefully hovering and densely covered with moss. Don't underestimate this bright green powder. This is Taiwan cinnamon grown in the middle-elevation mountains of Taiwan. The faint cinnamon aroma echoes the traditional cinnamon scent in the bread.

Their baguette but the best I have eaten in Taiwan. I tried their bread for the first time today, it suits our family's taste very well. It's a pity that I didn't buy croissant today, because of the epidemic, I can't go to Paris to see if their croissant is really as good as the French one. if you like pastry you really have to try come check them out, you will not be disappointed!
